Capturing Manufacturer Colors
I just can not find any info on getting color swatches off manufacturer websites and painting them on my walls and siding. I can capture a color and bring it in as a material, but then it does not leave the textured siding/ wall.

BTW. I have tried using the material eye dropper, but the results are not too good. Maybe this is the only way.

Do you have a check in the blend material color with texture box in the texture tab of the define material dbx? Check out Pat's tutorials http://www.chieftutor.com/chiefx1.html

Make sure you're using the paint roller if you are applying a material to a texture. You won't lose the texture, you're just painting over it.
