Dimensioning windows in a curved wall?

Is there a tool to dimension openings in a curved wall?

I can think of a few ways to get it done but how do others do it?

Allen, the only way I can think of would be to use your line tool, snap to window centers, then draw an arc that matches the wall radius, then move your arc out, select it, click your break tool and place a break where each line intersects the arc, then open it, and check "show Lengths".

    Thank you Allen
That was kind of what I was thinking but hoped we had a tool for it.

Surprised we don't when we have curved walls.

Going with this for now. Think it will be the easiest way for the framer.
Cad lines snapped to the opening centers..

We need better curved wall tools. Doors do not always work well in curved walls.

This is one of my first curved walls with openings.
The people that use them ofter should speak up and ask for better tools..

I would draw a centerline down from each window and use the angle dimension tool. Like this:

Your pictures have been to small to read clearly..

You have to remember who is going to be using the dimensions and where.

Framer out on the job site.

Another work-a-round. Not good as usual. Hey programers time is money. Why don't you get it. As I've stated before this discussion should not take place for version 13 of a program. This topic is basic cad and should be fixed ASAP.

Allen, that was just a quick sample to demonstrate an idea, not a plan I am actually working on. Keep in mind that things can look smaller in a jpg than they would printed to scale. That is 4" text, btw. I think Wendy uses 4 1/2" text on 1/4" scale plans, so not that much smaller.

It's here I can not read the numbers to see what your posting.
Nothing to do with your text size your using in plans..

Not all framers will understand if you get fancy dimensioning at the curved wall.
Better to keep it as simple as possible.

why not dimension space between each unit? the crew on the ground will probably ultimately just eyeball it so the proportions are right...

One approach I use, and the framers seem to like it, it to use cad lines and give the angles. They tell me that they can't really measure round walls anyway, but they can find angles based on one known wall. I use cad lines set at the center of the opening and then measure the angle.
