Can someone tell me how to get a back splash on this custom counter top?

I would use a polyline solid from an elevation. You could also use a slab or molding polyline.

It was automatic for me ?????
Maybe the tile on the wall has something to do with it.

Dean if I place a cabinet below it I then get the back splash. It seems that the back splash option is attached to the cabinet and not the counter top. This to me is an error or bug.

Poelcat:
just make the cabinet in that area very thin so it fits underneath the countertop and can't be seen

Dean how did you create the custom part? I drew a rectangle and converted it.

Used a custom counter top extended over the cabinets.
Did you use any wall covering? Will not work if it is used. If you put the tile on the wall as a material it works (see picture). I think Tommy was trying to tell you the best way.

A custom counter top doesn't not own any data to create a backsplash so it needs to get this data from the base cabinet below it.
In Dean's picture, I think his custom counter top covers at least one of the base cabinets (or all of them) which is why he gets the backsplash. In Polecat's picture, I think his custom countertop only covers the gap which is why he won't get a backsplash.Dermot Dempsey

Louis
I never had a need to use that new tool and had forgot about it but now I see how useful it is.

Dermot then why call it a counter top when in reality it is just a slab disguised as a counter top. From my point of view if it is a counter top then it should behave as do the the others and the defaults. Please call a spade a spade not a diamond!
