Deck Joisting

Hi! everyone
I have a problem with deck joisting,every time I do a deck the joisting is always parellel to the building and the decking is 90 degrees to the building.
How can I change that.so the joisting is 90 degrees and the decking is parallel to the building all the time when first built.
