    Funky Wall Lines

working on a project in X1

When I sent the plan to my partner, Joe the walls around the study/bath/hall
    didn't have these "extra" lines

When he sent the plan back to me, there they were ???

He has no recollection of having done anything that would have caused these lines as he was working in other areas ???

The first plan timestamped ...1100... is mine and the plan stamped 2345 is his

If we click on those walls and set "wall abutts other walls" those lines go away ???

Joe was using the "wall abutts other walls" setting where interior walls joined exterior walls but not on interior walls joining interior walls ???

any thoughts how these lines could have "slipped in"

You can't have wall butt the exterior without also butting what ever is at the other end....ie, the interior walls.

Just an FYI..I can count on one hand how many times I have used that setting on anything other that attic areas. Are you sure you want to use "walls butt" at all?

    And I'm still in X1.

    Joey:

    thanks for the heads up

I think the trouble started when I created the floorplan via tracing and
    didn't use object snaps

then it just cascaded on down in our attempts to fix the problem walls using
    "wall butts other walls"

I think I have it fixed now, but we do all lots of "wall butts other walls"
still on, but the walls look connected properly and we have room defs
and the invisible walls aren't mucking up the other walls etc

I'll review again in the morning when I adjust the room dims to be rid of fractions
