Moving door or window closer to a wall?

Similar to my last bumping question. How can I move a door or a window closer to a wall than my casing width will allow?

Often times when I must enter a kitchen or bath for remodeling, the casing on one side of a door or window has been cut less than whatever my default casing width might happen to be. In those cases, I need to be able to move the door or window closer to the wall. But it bumps at the casing and will not let me go further. Can I over ride that?

    Thanks again.

Rough opening, interior and exterior can cause doors to bump. You may also want to look at the minimum separation value set in the window defaults.
