matching trim color to beige siding

in 9.53....if I'm using beige siding...how can I match up the color to corner boards and trim. The "beige" color from the color palette is not the same..can I paste the texture/color from the siding to the trim, fascia.etc...t.i.a.

    Joe,
Create a custom color by entering the r-g-b & hue/sat/lum values of the siding.

If the vector color & rendered color are close, you may not need a new texture.
If they're not, you gotta create a new texture associated w/ that color (material) in PhotoShop or PSP or something.
Use the same RGB colors etc. 1st. You may be able to get it by playing w/ the advance settings.

If that doesn't get you close, you may have to get the RGB properties from the rendered image of the siding. Then play in the advanced settings.

It's pretty much a trial & error thing until you get what you want.
    Thanks, Jim

    beige siding for instance

I find the beige siding to dark in both modes. So say I get the trim to match the siding in vector mode...as discussed..then I want to lighten the beige several shades...I can do that in vector color easy enough....but how about render mode where I really need it to be lighter...

Forget about trying match, try this!!

Make a copy of the siding that you are using in the texture tab rotate 90 degrees stretch the x and y axis to a greater area other that 36 x 36 ( say 240 x240) apply copy to corner board material. do the same for the general tab make the strip 48" wide or so and rotate 90. I know this is an old post, but I hope it helps. I'm still using ver10.08

You should try to update to 9.54. There may be some things in other areas not working right. Just a suggestion.
