    Your house layout should be the most important.

    Mostly I have done it so the wall is flush with the inside of the garage.
    They can not park the car closer than the foundation.

    You also want to keep the wall flush on the inside room is that will affect it.
    Might need the extra room in the house.
    If it affects joist span, that could make a difference.

    It depends on the house/garage layout for what is right..

    Chances are the form guys will put the bolts in the wrong place anyway..
