    Edit Dormer Facia

    I'm having a problem doing an edit on my dormer facia color. Changed color in default settings, but the existing color persists. It's not an option on the Dormer Specifications dbx. I tried changing the default facia and exterior trim colors in the Defaults dbx as well, and to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

    Build roof dialog box, materials, fascia.

    I believe you have to re-build fascias when you change the default color to make the color change.

    Thank You Katy! It was the "Build Fascia, Gutters, Frieze" check box on the Build Roof dbx. I was afraid I would have to rebuild the whole roof, but did not have to. Thanks Again

    I cannot change the exterior casing on dormer windows, I built several times with new settings. Anyone else with the problem. Also I was not able to paint, but really more worried about the trim shape since black and white printing.

    Any suggestions
    Thanks

    George;

    Select the window in either plan or elevation view and open the window specifications in the dbx (or double click the window). Then choose the "Materials" tab, and click on "Trim (Exterior)", and then click the "Library Material" button. From there you can navigate through the library for your color, for example; Chief Architect Libraries > Materials > Colors > Generic Colors > Brown > Color-Coffee.
