Line weights to thick and dark!!!

Is there an easy way to setup line weights in cross sections, I do a zoom on a cross section and everything looks like it is just one layer. Never had this in 10 where I had to adjust any line weights. All help appreciated.

David, I would also check the "page setup". Using V10 settings could cause this in X2. The settings between V10 and X2 are very different.

Make sure you do a print test before committing to a line weight of 5 as that is extremely fine. 18 is considered a fine line by normal CAD standards assuming you are using the X2 defaults.

Thanks Tommy, is that the printer page setup? Doug I have been changing layers in wall set so i can see them better in zooming in to 12 for walls and 6 for drywall. Is this where I should do it?

Thank you Allen. David, if you're bringing V10 plans forward to X2, you'll also have to change the lineweights in the 'layer options" from plan. These go hand in hand.

Off subject, had older plan with no garage, added breezeway and attached garage, Is there a way to generate framing for new add on without messing up framing for exiting?

Another possibility is that he has "show line weights" selected or has too high a number selected in Preferences/Appearance/Line Weights.
David seems to be referring to what he's seeing on his screen, not the printed output.
    Just a thought.......

Do an "Edit Area" Ctrl+X of the new garage, Ctrl+Alt+Paste it into a new plan, generate framing, then repeat process to get it back into the original.

Just make sure the new blank plan has the same number of floors with the same ceiling hts already set up.

Manually frame all the new stuff. Existing wall framing will have to be retained before you rebuild wall framing for the new walls.

Can not get my overhang and facia to show up in render overview on the new breezeway and garage I added on. Have reframed roof and overhangs, checked each roof section for soffits and facia, made sure layer are on, can't think of anything else. This plan was brought up from 10, but new stuff added. really need help on this one. Thanks
