Viewer for CA V7

Is there a viewer for CA 7? I see there is one for V8. Will it work for 7? Right now I DXF out the drawings to AC R14 then export them as DWF files to post them to the web for clients to review. Or if anyone has a better way of showing clients plans electronically for V7 it would be greatly appreciated.

There is no viewer for CA7 but you can use a PDF so they can view it.

as v8 will open v7 plans, I would think the v8 viewer would work for v7 plans

Has any one tried to open a CA 7 file with the viewer? Just curious to find out if it might work, although I probably wont be able to reopen the file after it has been looked at ( if even possible).

The Client Viewer will open all of the same plan files that Chief Architect V8 will open, ie. any V5, V6, V7, and V8 plans.

If the Client adds text to the plan and then saves it, you will not be able to open it in any of the older versions.

Will the client viewer allow printing on 8 1/2 X 11 paper?

I draw a set of plans in CA v7. I give my client a copy of the viewer to look at the plans and he makes notes on it and saves it. If I have a copy of the viewer on my computer will I also be able to open the saved file to see the notes? and if so is it possible to have the viewer and CA open at the same time?
(the client viewer is sold in packs of 5 & 10 I think?)

The Client Viewer can print up to 8.5 x 14.

Yes, if you have the Client Viewer installed you can read any V8 plan including a V7 plan that was saved with the Client Viewer.

You can have the Client Viewer running at the same time as Chief if you hold down the control key when starting it. You can use the same technique to have multiple versions of Chief running at the same time. Holding down the control key deactivates the check to see if Chief is already running.

We sell the Client Viewer as a single CD or in a package of 10.
