slow & painful polyline solid fascia molding

I needed to create the attached fascia molding for a current project. After a little research I decided using a p-solid was the best way to go. I hope I was wrong! What a pain in the &*^%! The polyline solid was not that bad to use but the time it took to render the cross sections as I edited the molding and made my way around the building started to approach 30 min each time I made an edit! I have a pretty fast computer and I tried back clipping and low detail, but nothing I tried helped? I am hoping there is a better way.

    Thanks for your help.

If I had to guess, that looks like a perfect location to use a 3D molding pline (not a molding pline). Of course if you have a gable end that you wanted to attach the fascia to, I can see how this might be more of a challenge.

Camera Overview versus Full Camera speed?

Just noticed something new. The rendering speed is slow (ie. 10 min.) using full camera, but when I use perspective full overview camera it displays in seconds! Both these views use the same layer sets so what is causing the difference? Any ideas?

    Thanks,

oops! Disregard my last post. The overview camera is the same, but if you run it once and close the window it must store/save the overview until you exit chief so when you open again it pops up quick.

Oh well, I guess all those arcs and circle holes on my polyline solid fascia must be grinding my machine down to its knees.
