Cap flashing creation?
Can anyone suggest how to create a cap flashing? I need to show one on a continuous parapet wall that is essentially an inverted u-profile with two-drip edges.
Something loosely resembling this:

Try molding polylines.

draw the cap profile and save it to your library as 'cap flashing', then make a molding polyline (click just outside the perimeter of the bldg to get an 'exterior room', then click 'make room molding polyline' from the context menu) and assign the cap flashing as the molding. set the ht as reqd.

I like Dorothy's suggestion. To get the profile right, send your elevation to cad detail, which gives you snaps and temp dimensions to every line you see. If you prefer using a poline solid, copy the profile and paste hold position into your elevation. Convert to a poline solid and define the depth as the length of the flashing.
