    When I got my C.A.P.S. Designation (Certified Aging In Place Specialist), we have been designing the garage floors with 0" between the garage and the house. It takes a little extra work, but allows someone to move from the vehicle to the house while in a wheelchair.

    I don't do every house that way, but many.
