    Changing Default designer

I need to change the default designer info that appears in all the layots & plan files how is this done?
If I open a layout template edit the designer info & then save it, next time i open new layout from the template the designer info has reverted back to the previous setting.
Am I just being a bit dim here?

    Thanks for your reply.
What I actually need to do is not to create a new template but to be able to edit the default designer info so that if I create a new layout template the new designer info will appear in the macros inserted in the layout file.
