custom ceiling
can anyone tell me where to look up how to make custom ceilings. i want to make a ceiling that has a soffit around the perimeter 8' plate height and then is vaulted in the middle (up the the ridge).

Hello Eric?
Note: people will answer quicker if you include a signature.
Generic Step one: Select the room, open its dbx, select structure tab and unclick ceiling...,
GS two: Make the room at least as tall as the top of the soffits.
GS three: Use the soffit tool in the cabinet pull down to place soffits on each side of the room.
GS four: use manual ceilings from the roofs pull down to create the vaulted interior.
