generic lighting cad blocks
Why are so many of the cad blocks for lights generic?? It makes it much harder to search for what you want. Also, couldn't you open a symbol in X1 where you could change the block on the spot within the library? It would make fixing this goof up much easier!

Dennis,
I realize you are asking specifically about changing the default symbols' CAD blocks in a locked library which is not possible but you can change the CAD Blocks and then create your own library from the corrected symbols. That in itself is a vast improvement.
I think if they made locked-libraries editable then it would be difficult for end-users to exchange/share plans easily.
Then all CAD blocks and symbols would have to be saved to the plan instead of stored in the individual Library Browser making .plan files even larger than they are now to e mail.
I do understand what you want to do and why but it has wider implications beyond individual users and their individual ideas of rightness.

David,
Bottom line - they should have made the blocks correctly in the first place! I don't really need more mindless work to do, although I am equipped for it!
I understand about the locked libraries. I was confusing them with the unlocked ones where you can open the symbol within the library.Dennis Gavin CR, CKBR
