    Roof intersect

    Version 10.08.a. file attached.

If you are a roof wizard, please take a look at this and tell me how to properly intersect the curved section with the plane it is shooting through.

When I say "shooting through," I mean the curved plane is sticking through the roof it is supposed to lay on, and some kind of wild little piece of it is way out in the beyond. You'll see it in 3D render when you spin things around. You can also pick up the surface of it as a line if you do a clipped section out past the end elevation.

I do all my roofs manually, and was getting to think I could roof anything, but this one is a stumper. I kind of thought it would be, which is why I am doing it as a trainer. I have not done the foundation yet, nor have I done all the p'line work that will be done to detail this thing with false trusses, brackets, etc. A great exercise.

What is needed is to "lay on" the curved section onto the little porch gable roof plane. I don't want the porch roof cut.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I think you and I are geniuses, Chris!

I was able to fix it too, after fooling around some more.

But thanks for looking and working with it!
