    Problem with 'open below' function

    Good Morning Folks,

I'm pulling my hair out on this problem. The main entry has a multilevel stair going to the second floor. As can be seen on the plan, the main entryway is 2 stories tall with a balcony looking down to the front door. No matter what I try it will not render correctly.

This plan was done in Home Designer Pro 8, I cannot upload to that forum due to size constraints. I opened this plan in my trial version of X2 to see if I could find the problem. No luck. And since it is a trial version I cannot save it in X2.

Anybody care to take a look and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    TIA

Can you explain what it is you'd like to do that's not being rendered now? I opened your plan in X1 and can see the balcony and the 2 story entry and the 'open below' function seems to be working OK as I see it.

I'm not getting the exact problem unless HD Pro 8 is having a problem rendering the plan.

Do you want the stairs to reach the balcony?

    Larry,

Thanks for taking a look. In my HD Pro 8 when I look from the first floor up I see blue sky. From the second floor looking down I see green grass. Strange to say the least. I deleted the last run of stairs to the second floor because I thought that might be an issue.

    I found what I was doing wrong....slap,slap,slap

I was using the floor camera, stupid, stupid

Thanks Guys, I'll go hide in the dog house now.

You're not alone. I was doing the EXACT same thing the other day, making myself crazy. Glad you figured it out.
