    Overview to Layout

I am using Chief-7 and have problems sending overviews of bigger homes to layout. The message I get is "not enough space to store lines for 3-d layout box. 12040.

Is this a program limitation or can I do something?

I have an 900 pentium 3 with 256mgs of ram. 40 gig HD.

    Thank-You, A. Levi

This is not going to be helpful and I am sorry. Chief Architect version 7 has a limitation of how many total line entities can be sent to layout at a time. This limitation was removed in version 8 for the most part.

You might try exporting the overview as a .dxf and then import into a CAD Detail to send to layout (the .dxf will only display the 2-D faces/line entities of the surface of the view, thus reducing the overall total lines).

Depending on the size and nature of your plotter you might also consider exporting the overview as a rendered bitmap image to send to layout.
You could also turn off some patterns thus reducing the line count. Also in "3-D Preffrences" depending on the nature of the model, you might be able to turn off "interior" (doesn't work so well if you have allot of porch as it is an "interior".
