slab door
Hi there to you all,
I have a question about slab doors, is it possible to make a slab door within a big slab door?
the big slab door is 2000 mm wide and 3200 mm high. the small door is 1000mm wide and 2000 mm high
It is for an old farm here in holland.
the smaller door also must have a round top
i do really hope, that this is possible
thanks for your help

on the larger door, double click on the door to open the dbx for the door... set the dimensions as desired in the dbx for the door, if you want it to be a single door, go to the options tab and check the box for single door
for the smaller door do as above then go to the arch tab and select roound top from the drop down list

slab door
i wanna thank you both for your help.
My english is not so good, for explaining my problems sometimes.
But this is wait i try to say, what my question is.
the small door is placed in the big door, because at the farm they use the small one more offten then the big one, it is the walk trough, to the inside of the building, and the big door only opens ,when to have move a caterpiller in the old days for example.
Is this possible to draw in chief ? With my pencil it is very easy to do.
I have also mailed an part copy of my original drawing, to tim o'donnel, to visualize what my question is.
Thanks for your help,
karel chaudron

Karel,
Try this, place the two doors into the same wall, then take an elevation of the wall, hold down the Ctrl key and drag the smaller door into the larger one...the drawback is that the small door does not cut a hole in the larger one, so if you have it set to display as open the opening is filled by the other door...

Tim,
I want to thank you, for your help about doing this.
When you know this kind of trics, it is so simple to do it.
I have still a lot to learn about chief.
I t is good to have a forum like this, for learning a lot of things for chief architect.
Have a nice day.
