Solid railing
I've got a staicase that goes from the 1st floor along the outside of the house up to the second floor. I need a solid railing along the side of this staircase. I've tried building a railing and moving it up to the side of the staircase, but all I get is a railing along the floor of the first floor but with the rail showing sloping along the staircase correctly. I've tried rebuild walls but still have a gap of about 1.5 metres between a the railing (doesn't follow staircase) and it's rail (which does follow staircase).
Why is this happening? Any ideas? How can I correct it?

Check out page # 328 in the Refrence Manual.pdf that installed on your PC along with V 8 for a discription of how this is done in Chief.

This was done with solid rails for the upper landing and then I slanted the stair railing using an elevation camera. I then capped the stair railing with a slanted soffit. The method on pp 328 works OK for inside solid stair railings but did not work well on the outside, thus this method seemed to work better.
