I am trying to put some lights on a patio. I put the light fixture in place, then 3D-Add Lights and place the lights inside the light fixture. When I go to view this and toggle the sunlight there is no light at all - do I need to do something else. i've tried from putside the patio room and inside the patio room and it makes no difference it isn't there!

I had a similar problem with lights on a deck not showing up which was caused by a bug in Chief 8.05. If your patio is defined as a room there are a couple of things you could try

1) Make sure your camera is inside the patio room.

2) If your patio is defined as an exterior room, such as a Deck, Court, Porch, etc., try changing it's name to an interior room name like bedroom, family room, etc. Using an interior room name resolved my lighting problem. However, this fix will cause other problems since your area size will include the patio as living area. Also you will get false errors if you run plan check. Hope this helps.
