    Walls showing through on elevations

    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has come across a similar condition as this.

After I send the elevations to the layout page walls seem to show through on elevations. They do not look that way in the plan set.

Some one told me before to take a camera shot from farther away from the plan, but I have completed al of my working drawing notes on these elevations.

I thought I could send it to a cad detail now that I am done but that seems like a lot of work.

I thought of turning the attic layer, but wondered if anyone knew of a way to stop this from happening.

I have included the 2 pages of elevations.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

You can try "3D" Rebuild 3d. May help. This is a known problem with chief that was not resolved in x1 Fixes.

    Thank You for your reply.

It did not work, lets hope they take care of this problem in X2 as i feel it is an important issue if they consider this program to used for working drawings and not just concept drawings.

    Brian,

Their are known fixes for this problem. Delete the elevation camera and create a new one further back.

Yeah try what Jon suggested draw the camera farther back with a longer point of reference line, this route seemed to work well for me when I had a similar problem.

Brian, yes this has been a known, albeit somewhat rare, problem for awhile. You will need to generate a fresh camera, then you can copy and paste/hold position all of the CAD and text to the new view. It can also happen more than once, so pay attention.
