Circles, Squares, and Triangles With Holes In Elevation View
I'm trying to draw a series of circles, squares and triangles as polyline solids with holes in them in elevation view. Something like geometric doughnuts.
I've attached a view of a triangle shape that sorta kinda does what I want but it's not a solid with a hole. It began as a simple poly solid then with edges broken, taken to the shape shown. It's not joined but it seems to work. I'd like to take the other triangle solid shown and put a hole in it.
I can fake the triangle as shown but squares and circles have me stumped.
Any ideas?

Larry,
Just draw the same shape with a cad line however smaller you want it over the polyline solid, click on the cad line, check on the conver to polyline solid and then click hole in polyline solid. Unless I don;t understand you that should do it for any flat shape.Dennis Gavin CR, CKBR

Larry,
WHen setting up your first shape you can use the transform replicate button to make the 2nd one and set the parameters when doing it thus making a resized copy completely proportional inside the first one. THen do the conversions.Dennis Gavin CR, CKBR

Did you look in the library, under geometric shapes, for the circle and
square?
They have a torus, and also a box with the back and front taken out.Jonathan
