Wall Definitions With Multiple Layers Or Single Lines?

I was wondering how others treat their wall definitions. Do you define all the layers, (stucco drywall etc.) or do you end up with single line walls for clarity when printing and presenting?

I seem to start out with multiple layers but something always seems to get in the way and I end with single lines with different color fills to represent existing, demo, and new walls.

What do you all do for your wall definitions? Why?

There is a layer"Walls,Main layer only"
Works good for dimensioning to..

I use many..if not all of the Chief default walls, making my own when needed, or copying one of the existing and renaming and changing it. I like to define all the layers to make the model as correct as possible to use the materials list.

That's great advice you guys. Both tips make great sense. Never used the materials list and will certainly use the "Main Layers Only" Layer

I have never used "main layer only" in CD's. I use a lot of the chief default fills, but change any of them that print as dark or solid, because the subs can't se where the dimension arrows are referencing to.
