Call Outs
Is there a way to fill the arrow when using call outs.... other than drawing a triangle , filling it, merge it with a call out , save it as a block for future use?
We use different type call outs, anybody know if CA has future plans of supplying us with an assortment. Or did I miss something.?

The short answer is NO....no way to make them fill automatically. I use the triangle fill. I draw one, and use CTRL+C, CTRL+V to quicly place the fill where I need it. It's a bit of a PITA...but if you want the fill...gotta do it.
For the look you want in the picture, make one and put it in the library..you can still place a callout over top of it to get the look your after.Joey R. Martin, aibd, cgp, cga, caps

Hmm, maybe this should be posted in suggestions with a link back to this thread.
Should be an easy setting to add to the callout dbx.

Thanks Joe, I thought not, I searched for threads on this and found one asking the same question back before Release 10. Looks like it not to important to those who don't use them.
Hi Lew, I think it's been done already........

I use this symbol a lot. It would be great if Chief could add a function to have a fill added to the symbol.

this has been requested in the past..one of those niggly things for doing condocs that seems to continually get passed over for bells and whistles
ironic that the icon for callouts shows the arrow filled....Tim O'Donnell

I think Tim's referring to the icon in the text drop down box that you click to insert call-outs.
EDIT: and I agree with Tim. Sometimes the simplest of basics gets passed over for latest whiz bang 3D priorities.Last edited by HumbleChief; 12-10-2008 at 07:32 AM.

Ah yes, funny how you use something so often and don't realize what you see ain't alway what you get.

Well, X2 is out and I still can't fill the triangle. Perhaps I'm missing something?
