no texture available ??

I was working with a molding polyline. In materials I chose the color violet. Put it in the plan, then edited and went to textures. There was no texture available that was a color. Not sure I have a good grasp of this material/texture issue. Can someone out there toss me a clue?

A color is just a color and as such wouldn't have a texture.


Pick a wood grain or a stone pattern and that is a texture to which you can apply a color


Chief X1 now allows for changing the color of a texture without losing the texture. In prior versions, the material would be "painted" with that color and the texture would be lost. It was necessary to use a paint program to change the color and then save as a new texture.
