CAD Detail to Layout ??

Good Afternoon,

Wondering if someone could shine some light on how I get a CAD Detail Block (foundation) to layout in say 3/8" : 1" scale.

I have send my foundation to layout in 1/8" need to add a few CAD Detail block from the library. I am going to use the library ones but I will need to mdify a few things. Do I need to send the CAD block to the layout and edit there (tried wasn't able to explode block), send it to may foundation (was able to explode and edit) put can't get it to send my plan in 1/8" scale and detail in 3/8" scale

You need to open up a new CAD detail sheet in your plan file. CAD/Detail Managment/New (something like that, not at my desktop at the moment). Then place your CAD detail from the Library there and edit as needed. Then send to Layout and choose the scale.

Go to Cad/Cad Detail Management click new, name the view then drop the detail in this brand new cad window. Un-block edit to your hearts content and then send to your layout to whatever page and whatever scale you would like.

V10.8 user here and when I access Cad/Cad Management, I do not get a 'new' option. I do get a listing of several items already in use. No new page/area to place block, unblock if and mod, and then send to layout page at desired scale.

Is the process the same in V10?

Am I doing something incorrectly, i.e. wrong? Or?

Yes it's basically the same, go to cad details.
