CAD dimesnions always showing up

I hope this is an easy question, In 9.5 when I'm in CAD mode whenever I click on a line or polyline, measurements show up between my selected item and all the nearest other lines, etc. How do I turn off this automatic dimensioning?

It's called "temporary dimensions" and there should be a setting under MENU - CAD - DIMENSION to disable them.

You may also a have a toolbar icon that acts as a toggle.
