Remove roof textures
How would I go about removing the shingles (textures) from the below picture.
I am trying to show a roof overview w/ pitch for a layout.
I did a vector view and rotate to top (as looking down on roof) is this correct? Or is there a better way.
Many thanks in advance
Edward

Click "Display Options (or `)", then uncheck the "Disp." check mark beside
"Patterns, 3D Views".Jonathan

Edward:
I change the lines color for the roof plane layer to "white", it makes the roof planes stand out nicely.
Maybe place the pitch markers to the side with arrow(s) pointing to the plane(s) ???

If you want to show no pattern lines at all - roofing, siding, that stone pattern on a stone walkway, etc. then do as Jonathan says - turn off the layer Patterns, 3D
If you want to show pattern lines for your siding but not your roof, edit the roof material to use "area" for the pattern. I recommend editing and using a copy, not the original.
- select the roof, open it's dbx
- materials tab - roof surface - make a mental note of the name of the material (displayed in upper left - if you are using the default material, it will say something like "default: heather blend")
- plan material (lower right)
- scroll to select the material
- copy - and give it a name you'll recognize, like "heather blend, no pat". The material name is displayed on every tab. You can change it in any one of them. When you make a copy it will initially be selected, just type what you want.
- pattern tab
- at Pattern Type - use the scroll down and select "area", which has no lines at all.Wendy Lee Welton
