I have tried moving the wall out and in from the ELL joint corner, and if moving it IN, so the main layers align I get the post to un-bury itself.

Only when aligned. Not one tiny fraction outboard. Now, the joint unburies itself, and after I edited the corner to move the siding wall joint back out a little, I get the siding to wrap and not cut. See attached.

Here is my next problem. I cannot get the deck platform from burying itself in the foundation wall. The platform frame will be hung via a ledger bolted to the ICF foundation wall.

What do I do to un-bury the deck frame?

The adjacent edge of the deck platform does not bury itself into the adjacent foundation wall.

Why is Chief so unpredictable here?
