brick ledge for a window sill

I was just here in chieftalk learning about brick skirting using molding polylines and Tommy Blair suggested I use a brick sill from my window dbx. I replied three times asking where that option was in the window dbx and all three replies disappeared...strange!

anyway, replacing sill with a brick ledge is a neat idea. How do you do that??

Peter, you have to create a brick molding profile and then place it in the library. Then in the window dbx, turn off the apron but keep the sill. If your placing it in a brick wall, recess the window. Then you go to the moldings tab and select the brick molding profile you made and assign it to the sill. Then you need to rotate the texture. Actually, the texture and pattern set up works a little differently in 10 and X1.

If you don't know how to make the profiles, I'll send you my brick mold profile library. I have 3 different sizes for X1 and one size for 10.

Peter, you can do some nice things with molding profiles like having crown mold at the top of the fascia. Check it out.
