Pixelated when you place them or when you're viewing them in the library browser?

Mine have always been pixelated in the selection pane, but clear in the preview pane. Maybe you have toggled off your preview pane?

The preview is pixelated by design. Instead of showing the image at full resolution, we show a preview or thumbnail image that is much smaller. The reason for doing this is because if you have a folder with lots of images, it will draw the previews much, much faster making it easier to use the browser.
