Two Framing Questions

The first one should be obvious. How did I get an upside down gable end? The second is how do i get the beam to square up the ends? I want to create a garage space with the 2 ceiling heights and have a beam support the small upper pony wall of the higher space. when i draw in the beam it angles the end. Would like them squared up.

You probably framed it when you had a bad attic wall out there. Just delete it. On the beam, just break it in plan view and stretch it or extend it.

I deleted the mystery gable but when I break the beam it will revert to the angled ends as soon as I move it into position under the pony wall. As long as the wall stays in the higher ceiling area the ends will square up but as soon as the beam is moved under the pony wall the angle appears again as if it's picking up information from the lower roof angle. Not that big a deal since the framing plan will only be used in plan view but am curious about the phenomenon.

I think it is because it is a ceiling beam..And the roof is cutting it..

AND the gable end trusses will not draw without this strange added piece. I can't shorten them or re-draw them, they always snap to the added length and with this added piece. Any suggestions?

Use a small truss base under the eave of the gable end truss.
