Turret porch
am trying to make a round porch on the front of a house. The problem is when I get close to the adjacent straight wall it does some funny stuff with the roof anyone have any experience with this? Also the overhang is huge on the side that adjoins with the straight wall.

What I would do, because that is a difficult roof to manually create, is to set the ceiling height if the turret to an obnoxiously high setting and then generate the the roof. This should generate a roof that would clear the other roof and thus be separate and hopefully complete and correct. Then I would just manually select the turret roof and lower it-also the ceiling height.

If you are using X1 try this.
Copy/Paste and hold position the turret only into a new plan, then generate the roof.
Again Copy/Paste and hold position the newly generated roof into the main working plan. You may need to adjust its height, but at least you'll have the right roof.

I drew the house. Ceiling height of 8'
Drew the Turret. Set ceiling height to 12'
Selected the house rooms as being no roof over this room
Had Chief automatically generate roof (over turret only) at 12/12 pitch
Then drew in manual roof planes, at 6/12 pitch.
