    floor heights

I have a steep hillside house with a detached garage. I can raise and lower the house in the terrain easliy but when I lowered the garage floor to fit the terrain the roof stays high looking like a two story. Help!

You need to lower the roof planes yourself, they don't just come down with the floor automatically.

    John:

Once the roof is created it is independent of the house.

Use the transform/replicate tool to raise or lower the roof planes
in the "Z" axis. Turn off all the layers except the roof planes and the selection is easier. There is a method in X1 to select them without turning layers off but I'm not quite clear on it yet.

If the roof is simple or auto-genned then just delete it and then re-gen it.
