    Need Layout Help

    Allright guys,

I am just finishing up my first real plan and I am having some problems transferring the drawings to the layout file.

I understand how to do it but when I bring up the elevation view it looks fine, but then when I export it to layout it shows all these goofy walls and lines that weren't there. Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanx
    Steve

Sorry, generally I get the same thing in both layout and live camera. Try taking a different elevation and send it to layout.

I always get lines that are wacky or out of place when doing elevations.
I have resolved to always send to a Cad Detail and clean the view up with Edit
or adding lines if needed. Then send the Cad Detail to Layout.

I've noticed I get that when I have the camera close to the wall with a short "tail" on the camera arrow - try moving back and pulling a longer arrow for the section.

If you're using a backclip, you can adjust the depth of the view.

Sorry, it doesn't look like you're using a backclip camera.

Thank you everyone for your help.

John it worked to just move the camera back and use a longer leader for the camera.

    Thanx

I often get strange things showing elevations - the 3 main problems seem to be ceiling planes showing through the roof, attic walls showing end on through roofs and cladding hatching having random drop outs.

You say that you cured your problem by moving the camera back - I havent tried that but it seems a strange solution.
