Angry Floor not showing in basement

I have an existing basement with ceiling height of about 6', I am doing an addition with a basement with ceiling height of 8'.
When I take a section through the basement my existing floor isn't showing.
I want to connect them with a couple of stairs (four to be exact), but can't because the existing part doesn't have a floor for some reason.
I have checked all of the settings that I can think of and can't figure it out.
I have an invisible wall separating the new from the old.
I have tried changing that invisible wall to a concrete wall with a doorway in it, but that didn't work either.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

Did it lose it's room definition somehow?

No, it still has room definition. I just don't understand what is going on. Thanks.

Are you sure yu have room definition where you want the stairs? Did you check the invisible wall to make sure "no room def." is unchecked?

This is one of the gotcha's in Chief !!!!

If the ceiling height is lower than 6', or somewhere around there, I keep hearing different heights, then chief considers it a crawl space and won't create the floor.

I have recommended that Chief revert to "dirt" instead of "nothing" and CA indicated that this might be a good idea. So hopefully X2 will fix this "issue"

If Chief sees that room as a crawl space you will have to place a polyline solid or slab and set it to concrete or other flooring to see the "floor"

If you want to place stairs etc then place a very thin landing as needed.

Thanks for the advice, I got it figured out, there was a check box in the Room Specification Dialog box that I didn't realize needed to be checked.
So yes it was something small that I just kept over looking. Thanks for the help.

Sometimes in Cross section view, slab floor will not show when layers display does not show "default cad layer", as this is where the program puts the slab.
Seems that it would be better to show slab automatically on "foundation" layer.

As you've already found the solution, consider this reply as a lemon in your tea.
