Line weight scaling. It's in the page setup dialog.

    Dan,
I'm still using the 1=1/600" setting. Selecting or not "automatic" has no effect on the wall layer lines in that dbx.
I see if I change that setting to 1= 1/100mm, those lines are "thin".
Is that the only option I have?

I wonder if you have "show line wts" checked. If you uncheck this they may not show up as large in the dbx. You can tell if "show line wts" is checked by looking at the floor plan you are working on to see if they are thin or not. Just guessing.... as I am not on my CA computer.

    Hi Jim

Could also be your drawing scale,,,, if your drawing scale is set to say,,,, ¼”=1’-0” and the line scaling is 1/600 then that wall d box should look OK.
If your drawing scale is set to something like a site plan,,, 1”=20’-0” and the line scale is still 1/600 you will get those humongous lines in that d box.

If turning off “show line wt” doesn’t help, change either the line scale or the drawing scale.

One other thing,,, make sure you haven’t changed, preferences, appearance, line weight, Min Display to much more that 1, anything more and the display of line wt. really gets up there,,,,,

I like to work in the print preview mode and the line weights need to be set up right for that..
Dimensions and text do not resize when zooming in and out..

This isn't anything new. I believe that the wall layer lines have been displaying (in this dbx) like this since v10. I just thought maybe someone had discovered a solution.
Allen, print preview is kinda like "show line wgts" isn't it? My PC gets very slow w/ "show line weights" on. Does yours? I only use it for a quick review of the layout before printing.

Since we didn't hear back from Dan, I guess the only solution is to go to to 1 = 1/100mm setting. I've spent a lot of time & printing test plots out to get my line weights just how I want them, & haven't seen any reason (until now) to switch to the mm setting. I'm not sure this issue is enough of a reason to go though all that again.

    Hi Jim
It does a little more than just show line weights.
Try zooming in and out while looking at dimensions both ways..
    Doesn't seem to slow down.

    Allen,
In Dimension Defaults, set your "minimum number size" to zero for the same thing. I don't like to "show sheet" except when I'm about to print. That's the only thing I'm not liking w/ working in Print Preview & doesn't appear that that can be disabled while in Print Preview.
