Support columns on Deck/Porch
I want my support posts to align over my piers. I can't do this when I install stairs. The support columns are moved because Chief adds new posts to the sides of the stairs. Is there a way to install stairs without these post being installed or is there a way to remove them or align the columns afterwards. Thanks. See attached V x1

For that section of railing where the strairs are, uncheck Post to Beam, increase the newel spacing to wider than that run, and then just add posts manually.

Well, it always depends on your particular context. Once you start mastering Chief, changes like this take a matter of a few seconds, maybe a minute. If Chief didn't automatically put those posts in on either side of the stairs, the next guy would be asking why it is so hard to put them in.
