Shed roof problems
Hello,
I am trying to fix the shed roofs on my plans for my front porch and back porches, but I seem to be creating more problems than I solve. The back shed roof is cutting into my ceiling in my nook and family room. Can anyone take a look at my plans to see where I am going wrong? I am beginning to pull what little hair I have out. Thanks a bunch. Scott

You just need to pull the "ridge" part of your back porch roof down until it meets the main roof. In real life, that porch roof rafters will overlay the main roof. Do it the same way with Chief, instead of it extending through.
It looks like with the front porch roof, you just need to open the dialog box and change the pitch lower so it doesn't hit the windows. Or am I missing the problem?Allen Brown

By using Louis's "laser tool" so to speak, it will show exactly where the shed roof meets the main roof.

Great! Fixed the back shed roof. For the front one, however, it is not exactly a shed roof (it was supposed to be, but when I rebuilt the roof, it took the roof plane that is around the front gable and extended it down to where the shed roof fascia should be). That plane needs to remain 10:12. I am struggling to find a way to fix that front roof without making the roof more complicated than it already is (too many small valleys and peaks).
