    enclosing stair ballusters with wall to 2nd level floor height

    wish to enclose stairs up to mid floor joist level (ie not show ballusters but flat wall) from stair step level as they travel up thru the room below.

    see picture attached.

    ie how to make the "ballusters" display as a "wall"
    below the stairs I wish to leave open in the room they cut thru.

    Place a wall next to the stair and rake it at the bottom.

    ok thanks thought there might be another way louis but thats fine I'll just do that.

    Louis is talking about changing the angle of the wall ( in an elevation) when he says rake.
