Joey,
You must not use monolithic slabs and interior footings or actuate garage slab floors with curbs. Sorry to say.Perry

Ok now try a mono house slab with a garage slab and curb without a workaround. Anyone can do what you show.

Of course you can do it but Chief doesn't do it,you do with workarounds. The area where the slabs meet is not correct with 2 footings at that point. Chief should make this as easy as with stem wall footings without a big workaround . you also must repair all the sections. you must have added the curbs with polyslabs. OK, will the wall framing frame to the curb or the slab below the curb.

I rarely use a "workaround" to attain an accurate model.
Joey:
Maybe you can share your secrets ???
I'm still climbing the learning curve and my comments about workarounds and accurate models and material lists is based on many postings by other chiefers.
Based on these comments I'm not going down that road, I'd rather use CAD Estimator based on watching their demos and talking with chiefers who know how to use it.
When I hear the "majority" of chiefers stating that the material list is "worthwhile" then I'll make the effort to learn how to use it.

Yes the framing works...no I did not add the curb...and no it is not a work around....it took me all of 5 min to do this. I told the software to build that floor the same way I would tell my concrete foreman to build his floor...and isn't that the point of 3D modeling?

If You Can Do It I'm Sure Chief And Many Others Would Like To Know Because No One On This Forum Has Been Able To Do This Without A Workaround. So Tell Us How You Do It.

Sorry for the delay...I had to actually work yesterday, complete with meetings and presentations....I made this foundation work by making a hole in the garage slab, and adding the slab at -3" or whatever the depth of the curb. Point being, it's not a workaround, it's how the program works. Your concrete guy can't automatically make this happen, he has to form the floor and pour it.....
And for the record, and in my opinion...drawing parallel lines and calling them a wall is a workaround, making the software work, as it was intended, is not.Joey R. Martin, aibd, cgp, cga, caps

That ,my friend ,is a workaround. You don't have to create a hole with raised floors. garage floors should be automatic. By the way, when i add a hole, the footing line disappears. I have tried everything with no success.
Agree to disagree.Perry
