How thick is the real wall and how is it built behind it?
It depends on exactly what you want it to look like..

You could use a cased opening,frame the walls and then delete the cased opening..

Or edit the framing in the wall detail..

Make the symbol skinnier and fake it..

Do you need to really show that? Is it existing that will not be touched?

I just more questions than answers today
