Adjusting length of walls/objects?

It seems I can no longer adjust the length of a wall. Every time I try to do so, it moves instead......seems that I may have affected a default setting somewhere in using this new X1. The same thing happens with other objects as well. They'll move, but not adjust in size.

Anyone have an idea what I might have done wrong or need to reset?

Change your behavior back to default.

Upon further review, my problem seems to exist in one plan only, not others.

If I reset all preferences in the one plan back to factory levels, will that affect ALL of my plans such that I will then have to reset custom preferences once again?
