A line style that drew a "cloud" line would be fantastic. I think some CAD softwares do have one.

    Ron,
Did you see Allen's comment on the previous page. We already have the ability, thought not with a line type per say. IMO it's better than a line type because you can modify the arc size, spacing, etc...

EDIT: I see you have X1 and I believe this feature came about later. Time to upgrade ?

I am not sure if it can get any easier than this, thanks Allen, I did not know this.

EDIT: The Moakster and I were thinking the same thing at the same time.

I put revision clouds on the layout not the plan - I think keeping the plan clean is a better option.

the way I currently work is i put revision clouds on the layout sheet, I only have the clouds for that particular revision which has a number in the title-block
This means i dont have to have rev triangles manually drawn to differentiate between revisions.

What i would like to be able to do is when i put a rev cloud on the sheet it gives me a popup dbx that has the fields as listed earlier by Ben in post #28.
They would be blank the first time, after that would hold the previous information, so I have the option of placing several clouds for 1 revision or doing a new revision.
The schedule would then be auto placed onto the layout, I could then drag it to where it is reqd. If it was a 2nd revision it would add a line to the existing schedule.
The previous clouds could either be erased( without losing the information in the schedule).
    Everything has to be editable.

    Graeme:

for now using the hyperlink feature in a text box might give you somewhat of a work-around ???

Also plan checkers are requiring clouds on all revisions now, so the easier it is the better.

    I agree with the suggestion(s)

just mentioning a possible work-around until then

work-arounds are like fish - after about 3 versions they begin to "stink"

G I'm always worried that stuff in layout won't stay connected to it's viewport If I need to rearrange my layout for some reason - like a new note requires me to widen the view to the left, now it overlaps another view, so both need to be shifted a little, now all my layou CAD\annotation\clouds need to be repositioned? I've tried blocking, but it doesn't survive changing pages, among other things.

Yep, the reason for putting clouds in plan and not on layout.
