Railings
When using Chief 97, can anyone tell me how I can place a 36" railing on top of a foundation wall. I have a basement entrance way that needs to have railing surrounding it. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure about placing rail directly on top of the wall but you could draw a railing right next to the foundation wall then drag it as close to the wall with the center handle. When it wont go any further grab on to the handles that are about 1/4 way from each end of the railing and drag it the rest of the way.
That is what I would try, but I haven't as yet so am not 100 % sure if it will work. Worth a try though.

Another solution would be to use metal fence sections available in the libraries available in 3D Home Archetect v. 3.0, or there is also a very large library called "All 6" that I have that also contains wooden and metal fencing, slightly different from the 3DHA stuff.

Try using rail only and use a soffit filled with concrete for the foundation wall and footing. Contol move them into place. It should look just like the foundation walls.
