Archived jpegs
Whenever I do a "save" in a plan, a jpeg is also created in the auto archive along with the plan file. The jpeg is created at 128 x 64, quite small. It is also very blurry. I have never used these jpeg's; what is the reason for their creation, and if I need them is there a way to enlarge and clear up the image? I end up deleting them when the manage auto archive dbx pops up, which is a pain, especially if I don't need them. Thanks.

The .jpg files are the thumbnail used as the plan preview you see when you open an existing plan. It is fine you delete them as a new one is created when you save.

I agree that if we do have these jpg files so we can reference a plan, then they should be large enough to see what they show. It would be great if these could be a bit larger.
I know they are thumbnails-so is that what determines their size? Is there a way to get a thumbnail any larger?

You can disable the thumbnail feature in Preferences/General/Thumbnail Images.

The purpose of these thumbnails is to use them if you create plan databases within chief using the built-in feature for managing plan databases.
If you aren't doing that then it's best to turn them off.

There is an option to have large ones in preferences.
Under file, save plan thumbnail, lets you use the view that you see..
I would like the thumbnails to be the plan file icon............

They also display in the Open Plan File dbx every time you select a file.

Allen,
Thanks for the location where we can show the larger thumbnails.
I agree with the plan icon.
