    Lighting Question

    Hello,

I am using a recessed R4 can light. When I do a raytrace of my room the ceiling around the light gets a lot of light on it almost like the light is shining on the ceiling instead of down into the room.

What setting or settings do I need to change to keep that from happening.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Spot Light

    Hey Chris,
Open up the dbx for the light or lights,>render tab>change type from Point to Spot Light. Then you have options for Tilt, Dir. Angle, Cut off Angle, and Drop off angle. Click the help button for a complete explanation of each setting. Experiment with the Auto intensity unchecked. Also the mini can lights sometimes have a nicer effect. Experiment with all the settings. Have fun.
